Imagine the sheer number of plastic wrappers, juice bottles, cigarette butts and other junk it takes to fill 15,776 garbage bags. That’s how much trash volunteers cleared during the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup last year: a weighty total of 175,932 kilograms. Team Power Smart members filled many of those bags, rolling up their sleeves at sites in Victoria, Vancouver and Kamloops.
