Did you get it right chartWe recently ran an online poll to see where Team Power Smart members think the biggest energy savings are. The results are in and BC Hydro senior engineer David Rogers reveals whether you got it right.

According to Rogers, the biggest savings on the list are from washing in cold water. In homes with electric water heaters, the average savings are about 700 kW per year. The amount of heat required to warm up water is far higher than for heating air. The next highest savings on the list come from closing window coverings, followed by shorter showers, hanging laundry out to dry, and lastly, by turning off power bars.
